About ScanToLog
ScanToLog is the easy way to track everyday spending: scan a QR code for what you bought, type the amount — done. Have a receipt? Enter the total. Already know what you spent? Just enter the amount. Each QR code is a shortcut that opens ScanToLog to the right spending category so you can log it before you forget.
You can try the core experience free with one category (Groceries). The complete 12-category system — plus custom categories — is unlocked with the ScanToLog QR Spending Pack. One purchase. No account. No monthly subscription.

Privacy
ScanToLog is built to collect as little as possible.
- No ScanToLog account is required.
- Your spending data — categories, amounts, notes, logged transactions, and custom categories — is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
- ScanToLog does not intentionally transmit your logged categories, amounts, or notes, and we do not have access to them.
- ScanToLog does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or tracking cookies.
- Full-access activation is stored locally in your browser. It is not an account and is not synced: another browser or device (or an installed app with separate storage) may need to be activated again with your purchased code, and clearing this site's data can remove it. You can re-activate anytime with the code from your pack.
- Your activation is separate from your data backups — a backup file contains your spending data only, and restoring one does not activate full access.
- Exported backups are generated on your device and download to your device; they are not uploaded to ScanToLog. Restoring a backup also happens locally.
- Fonts and core site assets are hosted directly with ScanToLog and are not loaded from third-party advertising or analytics services.
- The site is hosted on Netlify, which may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser/user-agent, and request logs for security, performance, and reliability. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Your data is specific to the browser and device where you use ScanToLog and does not automatically sync between devices, browsers, or installed app instances.
- Because your data lives on your device, it may be lost if you clear this site's data, use private/incognito browsing, switch browsers or devices, reset or reinstall your browser, run device/browser cleanup tools, or if your browser evicts stored data. Export a backup to keep a copy.
- ScanToLog does not connect to bank accounts, payment cards, or financial institutions.

ScanToLog is a browser-based spending-tracking tool with a free one-category demo and a paid full-access system. By using it, you agree:
- It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
- It is not financial, tax, accounting, investment, or legal advice — it's a tracking and recordkeeping tool. Please independently verify important figures before relying on them for taxes, accounting, or other formal purposes.
- Your entries are stored in your browser, so you are responsible for maintaining your device and keeping backups. ScanToLog is not responsible for data loss caused by browser clearing, device loss or change, software updates, storage failure, or similar.
- Full access is unlocked with the code in the purchased QR Spending Pack and is stored locally per browser/device; you may re-activate your own devices with the same code. Purchase does not create an account or guarantee perpetual availability of ScanToLog.com or of every feature — features may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
- Purchased printable files are for personal use. You may print additional copies for your own personal use, but may not resell, share, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially reproduce the files or the activation code.
- The printable QR codes are designed to open ScanToLog.com and depend on the continued availability of the service and a compatible browser/device.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScanToLog is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, the website, or the printable files.
- Purchases made through Etsy are also subject to the applicable Etsy listing terms, shop policies, and Etsy's Terms of Use.
